Measuring for a pet bed is a little different than measuring furniture. You need to measure your pet's body to determine the correct bed size. We require Width, Length, and Thickness.

YOUR PET'S SLEEPING AREA Step 3: Length Step 2: Width

Step 1: Pet Bed Thickness

Select your cushion thickness (2 to 5 inches).

(Tip: Larger/Heavier dogs benefit from thicker foam (4-5") for better joint support.)

Step 2: Pet Bed Width (Side to Side)

Measure your pet from the bottom of their paws to the top of their shoulders.

The Width Formula: Paw-to-Shoulder Height + 5 to 10 Inches

Add 5" for small pets, up to 10" for large pets to allow stretching room.

Step 3: Pet Bed Length (Front to Back)

Measure your pet from their nose to the base of their tail.

The Length Formula: Nose-to-Tail Length + 8 to 12 Inches

Add 8" for small pets, up to 12" for large pets.

Expert Measuring Tips

 1-Inch Precision

Pet bed dimensions are adjustable in 1 inch increments. Please round your measurements to the nearest whole inch.

 Sleeping Style

If your dog likes to stretch out fully, err on the side of a larger size. If they curl up in a ball, a smaller size may suffice.

 Crate Sizing

If this bed is for a crate, simply measure the inside floor dimensions of the crate (Length & Width) for a perfect fit.

 Use Rigid Tools

Use a metal tape measure or yardstick to measure your pet while they are standing or lying down.
