We make custom round cushions for a variety of applications including bar stools, fully round chair seats, daybeds, and even pet beds. Round cushions require just 2 measurements to get started.
Step 1: Round Cushion Diameter
The cushion diameter is measured from one side to the other, passing directly across the center of the circle (as shown in the diagram).
- Precision: We can adjust the diameter in ½ inch increments.
- Tip: If measuring a chair, measure the seat frame, not the old cushion.
Find the Center:
Ensure your tape measure crosses the exact center of the circle to get the widest point (the true diameter). Measuring "off-center" will result in a cushion that is too small.

Step 2: Round Cushion Thickness
Select your desired thickness for your round cushion.
Our round cushions range in thickness from 2 to 6 inches and can be adjusted in increments of 1 inch.
(Note: Thicker cushions (4"+) are recommended for larger daybeds or floor seating, while 2-3 inches is standard for bar stools.)
