Build Your Own Bauhaus Chair (For Under $50!)
Love the Bauhaus aesthetic but hate the $300 price tag? I built this myself! It’s not perfect, but it’s mine. Here’s how you can do it too.

1. The "Bounce" Test
Rock Solid: I’m 50kg (110 lbs) and I’ve tried jumping on it. It doesn’t budge. You're safe! 😎
2. Material List: Pipes
| Part | Size | Qty |
|---|---|---|
| Back Pillars | 84 cm | 2 |
| Front Pillars | 56 cm | 2 |
| Crossbars | 75 cm | 4 |
| Vertical Bars | 63 cm | 4 |
| Armrests | 65 cm | 2 |
| Support Bar | 80.5 cm | 1 |

3. Hardware & Connectors
- 6x 2-way & 6x 3-way connectors
- 4x M8 plastic foot plugs (25mm)
- 4x L-connectors (25mm ID)
- 32x Gaskets & M5 Bolt/Nut sets

4. Support Secret
Forget expensive springs. Use this:
- Core-spun Rope (4mm): 5 rolls.
-
Elastic Band (7cm): 1 roll.

💡 Coach’s Tip: Wrap the rope first, then the elastic band. Trust me on this.
5. Cushion Formulas
Seat: (Width + Height*4) x Depth
Back: Height x 2 x Width (+10cm for puffiness)
Back: Height x 2 x Width (+10cm for puffiness)
- Always leave 1cm (0.4") seam allowance!
